The Rodel Foundation of Delaware was established in 1999 to help create one of the finest public education systems in the nation. The foundation focuses on improving public policy, supporting best practices, and engaging the public. In collaboration with public, private and civic leaders throughout Delaware, Rodel is working to implement Vision 2015, Delaware's acclaimed plan for world-class schools.

Education Voters Launches in Delaware

Markell signs legislation to help Teach for America come to Delaware
On Monday April 20th, Governor Markell signed legislation that will enable our state to attract nationally-recognized programs to recruit and support more of the "best and the brightest" to teach in our public schools. HB 102, sponsored by both the House and Senate Education Committee Chairs and passed unanimously in both houses, opens the door for initiatives like Teach For America and Teacher Residency Programs to come to Delaware. The Governor was joined at the signing by Secretary of Education Lillian Lowery, House and Senate Education Committee Chairs Terry Schooley and David Sokola, and several other of the bill's sponsors. Delaware Joins Education Reform Effort
